Pastor Jimmy Odukoya has responded to critics questioning his decision to remarry, making it clear that online backlash will not pressure him.
The Nigerian pastor recently introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to his congregation during a church service.
However, his decision sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning his choice to marry again.

Speaking during the church service, Jimmy Odukoya explained that he had spent years navigating life alone after becoming the church’s senior pastor. He said he eventually found someone he wanted to share his life with.
“Ever since I became a pastor, I have been doing this work of life alone. The Bible said it’s not good. I was looking and searching and I found,” he told the congregation.
His explanation did not stop the online criticism. Odukoya later addressed the reactions through his Instagram page, making it clear that he would not allow others to dictate his personal decisions.
”If you cannot die for me, don’t pressure me. If you didn’t die for me, you can’t condemn me,” he wrote.
His response has drawn further attention to the debate surrounding his remarriage and the expectations placed on religious leaders.
