A private jet carrying nine people crashed in Florida while travelling to the Bahamas, killing everyone on board.

According to CNN, the pilot initially reported moderate turbulence and ice accumulating on the aircraft.

The pilot then requested permission to climb before declaring an emergency.

The crew later reported that the plane was descending rapidly.

The recordings, captured by LiveATC.net, offer a glimpse into the final moments before the deadly crash.

One crew member could be heard making a desperate statement as the situation worsened.

“We’re out of time,” the crew member said, according to audio reported by the New York Post.

However, investigators have not yet established whether weather conditions caused the crash.

US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that all nine people aboard the Learjet 60 died in the crash.

The aircraft had departed Austin, Texas, and was heading to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

It crashed near Cresthaven in Palm Beach County at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Sunday.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident to determine what led to the crash.

Investigators are expected to examine the aircraft’s condition, flight data and other available evidence as they work to establish the cause.

As investigations continue, the families and loved ones of those who died face the painful loss of their relatives.
