Prophet Odumeje has stirred reactions after telling his congregation he would not die in the usual way.
The controversial cleric claimed he would disappear after completing his assignment on earth.
The Anambra-based preacher, whose real name is Chukwuemeka Ohanemere, made the remarks during a lively church gathering.
His comments drew loud responses from members who listened as he explained his unusual view of death.
Odumeje also questioned how his followers would celebrate him after his death, he insisted that they should not prepare a traditional burial for him.
During his address, the preacher challenged his congregation with a question about his eventual death.
“You can never celebrate me when I am de@d. Who would go and put their foot in my brial?” he asked.
He continued by warning his followers against planning a burial for him.
“Don’t come and plan a brial for me,” Odumeje declared.
He then made the statement that has attracted attention online.
“I can never de. The only thing I will do when I’m done with my job, I will disappear.”
The congregation responded with shouts and chants as the cleric continued speaking.
The gathering became more energetic as members echoed his words.
Odumeje also used bold expressions to describe himself during the gathering. He referred to himself as a lion and spoke about his destiny to become a star.
