The accidentally purchased 28 Tesla model 3 vehicle online by a German man amounted to €1.4 million.
The man’s son who’s known as ‘Ballon-Man’ disclosed how he and his father accidentally placed an order for 27 model 3s Tesla cars instead of just one. He wrote in an online discussion forum Reddit.
Apparently something went wrong with the Tesla website because they (the family) had placed an order for an Autopilot equipped model 3 Tesla.
After filling payment details and submitting the website responded that the order could not be placed because of payment issues.
Balloon-man’s father clicked the confirm button severally but the website kept responding that the order could not be placed because of payment issues, this went on for 2hours.
The order was eventually responded after 2 hours confirming the purchase order of all 28 Tesla cars which amounted to 1.4 million Euros and each vehicle had a non refundable charge of 100 Euro which amounted up to 2,800 Euros.
However all transactions was eventually cancelled without any charges after a phone conversation with the Tesla company and was instructed to place a new order.
