Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, back to the Senate, resumes legislative duties

On Tuesday 9th of June 2020 Senator Orji Uzor Kalu arrived the National Assembly to resume his legislative duties as a Senator. He was officially welcomed by the Senate’s President Ahmad Lawan to the senate.

The Senator who was recently released from the Kuje Correctional Centre after he had spent six months of incarceration has officially resumed duty as a Senator in the Senate.

The former governor told newsmen before entering the building, “I just want to thank God for everything that has happened.

“It is the will of God. I want to urge Nigerians to keep hope alive.” He said.

The former Abia State governor who was convicted and sentenced for N7.1bn fraud last December has officially resumed his legislative duties as a serving Senator.
