Trump Explodes Over Grammys Joke, Threatens to Sue Trevor Noah

Shortly after the ceremony ended, Trump took to Truth Social to vent his anger.

He described the show as “virtually unwatchable” and accused the organisers of allowing what he called false and damaging comments on air.

The reaction stunned viewers, especially as the Grammys are rarely dragged into direct political disputes.

The controversy began when Trevor Noah cracked a joke after announcing the Song of the Year winner. He said the award was coveted by artists “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” then added, “since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

The line referenced the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and his private island, triggering immediate backlash.

In one post, Trump wrote, “The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable!” He went further, claiming CBS was lucky to no longer carry what he called “garbage.”

Moreover, he compared Noah unfavourably to late-night hosts, saying the comedian was “as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the low ratings Academy Awards.”

Reacting directly to the joke, Trump added, “Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close.”

He insisted the comment was false and defamatory.

Furthermore, Trump warned that the matter would not end online. He described Noah as a “total loser” and said he was ready to send his lawyers after the host. According to him, others who had faced his legal action could testify to the consequences.

Meanwhile, some viewers defended Noah, arguing that satire is expected at such events. However, others felt the joke crossed a sensitive line.
