The actress made the revelation during her interview on With Chude, where she explained that the hostility began after she stood by her preferred candidate.

Moreover, she explained that she became uncomfortable after seeing how veteran actress Joke Silva was dragged online for her own political stand.

According to Bimbo, the harsh comments from social media users pushed her to speak out.

She said she could not understand why normal political differences were turned into personal attacks.

In her words, Nigerians must learn to allow others to think for themselves.

While sharing her experience, she said, “Nigerians annoy me. Don’t bully other people. We all have the right to differ in opinion. You don’t like this man? Yes, that’s your right. You prefer someone else? God bless you. But bullying people because of their choice is wrong.”

She added that things escalated quickly online. Furthermore, she said she later made a video to address those who insulted her.

In that video, she challenged critics who believed they could force her to change her views.

She recalled, “I now did this video saying, okay, I’m going for the same person. Kill me. Feel free. Kill me. Let me see you change my mind with your bullying.”

Bimbo stressed that political tension in Nigeria is often heightened by aggressive reactions.

Therefore, she urged Nigerians to understand that disagreements are normal and should not become hostile.

Meanwhile, she explained that her choice was made carefully and without pressure. She said she was shocked that people tried to shame her for simply voting as a citizen. She also noted that the attacks made her think deeply about how freedom of choice is handled online.

The actress also hinted that the online drama affected how public conversations are held in the entertainment space.

However, she maintained that she would not be pushed into silence. She insisted that everyone deserves respect, no matter their political stand.

In addition, Bimbo said Nigerians must learn to engage each other calmly. She encouraged the public to be more tolerant because bullying only increases division.
