Police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi revealed that Oladiti was taken into custody by detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti-Yaba.

The arrest follows two separate incidents that reportedly turned fatal.

On September 17, 2025, around 3:00 pm, the suspect allegedly attacked a dispatch rider with a helmet and his fists.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors placed him on oxygen. He remains under medical care.

Just a day later, another complaint surfaced, linking the same suspect to an earlier altercation on August 28, 2025.

During that clash, Oladiti allegedly struck a man multiple times on the head and face with a metallic ring.

Despite medical intervention, the victim was confirmed dead on September 17 by doctors.

His body has since been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.

News of the victim’s death sparked anger among sympathizers, who stormed the suspect’s office in Sandgrouse Market, Lagos Island.

The protest quickly turned violent, with demonstrators setting two motorcycles belonging to the suspect ablaze.

The unrest created tension in the area before police intervened.

Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh personally led a team of mobile police, tactical squads, and conventional officers to restore peace.

According to SP Adebisi, CP Jimoh addressed residents directly, urging calm and assuring them that justice will be served.

“The suspect is in custody and will be promptly prosecuted after investigations are concluded,” Adebisi said.

The command emphasized that no individual, regardless of status, will be allowed to evade justice in Lagos.
