Afrobeats artist Bella Shmurda has sparked a fresh online drama following comments made about controversial singer Portable during a podcast appearance.
While featured on the “Curiosity Made Me Ask” podcast with host Isbae U, Bella was asked if he would ever consider collaborating with Portable.
His response stirred unexpected tension.
Bella calmly responded that he doesn’t see a connection between their musical styles.

He added, “I don’t want wahala,”suggesting that a collaboration might lead to unnecessary trouble.
However, the statement didn’t go unnoticed by Portable, who wasted no time firing back.
In a now-viral video, Portable expressed strong displeasure with Bella’s comments.
He openly mocked the singer, saying Bella wasn’t in his league either in popularity or success.
“Anytime you wan do interview no call my name. You cannot feature me,” Portable warned.
He continued, “I’ve been to America, London. No be first to blow o. Na who dey blow dey go o.”
Portable further slammed Bella, saying they have nothing in common and added, “Which connection wan join me and you? You are a failure. I don roll or do music with failures.”
His response has triggered widespread debate online, as fans and observers quickly picked sides.

On social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, users shared their views. One user, @Adeomo_ola, wrote: “Portable will never look away if anyone talks about him, and that’s what he does for a living… But he won’t accept it.”
Another fan, @kropelgrada, argued: “Truth be told, Portable is a more popular and successful act than Bella Shmurda.”
In addition, @2thewurldd commented on the irony of Bella’s statement, saying, “Saying you don’t want wahala, na still wahala for Portable side.”
For now, neither artist has walked back their statements, and fans are left wondering if this verbal exchange will fade or escalate further.
