Portable Calls Out Burna Boy After N20M Gift, Laments Being Ignored Online

Controversial street-hop singer, Portable, has publicly expressed his disappointment towards Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy for allegedly ignoring him, despite gifting him a reported N20 million.

The statement was made in a recent video shared online, stirring mixed reactions from fans and observers alike.

The drama stems from a viral claim that Burna Boy gave Portable a cash gift of N20 million after he defeated fellow artist Speed Darlington in a social media spat.

While Portable acknowledged the generous gesture, he seemed deeply hurt by the lack of communication that followed.

“Person wey give me 20 million never reply me for Instagram before. I Dey call am, he no pick, e no follow me, I no get him number and yet he gave me money. Why he dey stingy with his replies?” Portable lamented in the video.

He went on to explain that despite receiving the huge cash gift, he values connection and collaboration even more.

According to him, a music feature with Burna Boy would have meant much more than the money.

Therefore, he pleaded once again for a possible collaboration, stressing that respect and support matter more than cash gifts.

The video has since gone viral, with many social media users sharing their thoughts.

Some criticized Portable for making the issue public, while others defended his need for acknowledgment.

One user, @designa231, wrote, “How many up coming artists..Portable himself don feature? Just asking.”

Another user, @lorde_martha, added, “He nor gree reply bcos him know say yu be werey, yu too sabi talk anyhow.”

Furthermore, @tracyokito commented, “This is why he won’t respond to you,” while @kween__mimi supported the call-out, saying, “Drag am… drag am well for me. He wan use you enter Akpi.”

Despite the backlash, Portable maintained his stance.
