Gossip blogger Tasha K has accused Cardi B of attempting to financially ruin her and sabotage her career, three years after a court ordered her to pay the rapper $3.4 million for defamation.
In newly filed legal documents obtained by TMZ, Tasha K alleged that Cardi B is using aggressive legal tactics to uncover secret offshore accounts and impose strict limitations on her ability to speak freely on social media platforms.
According to the documents, Cardi B’s legal team accused Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, of fraudulently transferring assets into her husband Cheickna Kebe’s name and his business to avoid settling the defamation judgment.
The rapper also claimed that Tasha K is still living a luxurious lifestyle, citing her recent move to a $7,000-per-month apartment despite claiming to have less than $60,000 in assets and only $95 in her bank account.
Cardi B has asked the Florida Bankruptcy Court to dismiss Tasha K’s bankruptcy case and prevent her from refiling for two years.
Meanwhile, Tasha K denied the allegations, calling Cardi B’s actions an attempt to “bully her financially.”
She argued that Cardi B is conditioning any settlement with excessive restrictions on her ability to create content for her YouTube channel and social media platforms.
“This is an attempt to silence me and destroy my career,” Tasha K stated, adding that her income relies heavily on her ability to speak freely and interact with her audience.
The case has drawn attention not only for the legal battle but also for Tasha K’s recent public appearances.
Despite the bankruptcy claims, she reportedly sold out VIP tables at her New Year’s Eve celebration in Houston, attracting 400 of her fans, referred to as “Winos.”
Critics question whether her financial struggles align with her public persona.
This is not Tasha K’s first legal battle, as she has previously faced lawsuits for defamation from Kevin Hart, R. Kelly, Soulja Boy, and Bishop Lamor Whitehead.
While some cases, like Whitehead’s, were dismissed, the ongoing feud with Cardi B continues to fuel debates about accountability, free speech, and celebrity disputes.
As the legal drama unfolds, both parties remain firmly rooted in their positions, leaving fans and critics to await further developments.
