The rape allegation against French football star Kylian Mbappe has been dismissed due to insufficient evidence, Swedish prosecutor Marina Chirakova announced on Thursday.
The investigation into the alleged rape and sexual assault has been officially closed, with Chirakova explaining, “My assessment is that the evidence is not sufficient to proceed, and the investigation is therefore closed.”
She further clarified that Mbappe had not been notified of suspicion of any crime during the proceedings.
This development comes as a relief for the footballer, yet it highlights the importance of safeguarding his reputation.
While the dismissal clears his name, Mbappe must remain vigilant about his actions and the situations he finds himself in to avoid future controversies.
This serves as both a warning and a lesson for him to maintain focus on his career and uphold the discipline expected of a global sports icon.
