Popular Nollywood Veteran actress, Maureen Okpoko has revealed that she has lost her sight while seeking financial assistance from Nigerians.
This was gathered in a viral video on social media where the ailing actress said she “suddenly” lost her sight and can no longer see.In addition,the actress said she’s in need of financial assistance and urgent medical care while appealing to Nigerians to come to her aid.
According to Okpoko, living with loss of vision has been challenging however, she expressed gratitude to God for life while soliciting prayers from her fans. 
She also pleaded with Nigerians to support her with prayers and words of encouragement to see her through the uneasy journey.
Her statement reads:“Good day everyone,my name is Maureen Okpoko,i’m a Nollywood Actress. I suddenly lost my sight which means I can no longer see or cannot see for now. I am seeking for your financial assistance. It will be greatly appreciated if you all can come to my aid . I also need your prayers and words of encouragement. ”

The 62-year-old in 2016, was nominated for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
She’s seen in movies like Red Scorpion, Baby Oku, Clinic Matters, University Mafias, Dear Mother, Sorrowful and many others .
