Taurean Blacque dies at 82

American television and stage actor, Taurean Blacque, has died at the age of 82.

He was popularly known for his role as Detective Neal Washington on the series ‘Hill street Blues’.

The actor’s family verified the last breath of Taurean that he died on Thursday, July 21, in Atlanta following a brief illness. Rodney Middleton, his son, revealed the news on Facebook, writing in a post:“Thank you all for your prayers, calls, and texts to me and my family. My father pass[ed] away today At 2:52 pm est.”

Blacque joined the cast of the police drama Hill Street Blues, staying with the show throughout its run in 1981.While appearing on that show, he was nominated in 1982 for the Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding supporting actor in a Drama series.
