At least 23 people were killed and 33 injured in a car-truck collision on Tuesday near Southern province of Minya in Egypt.
The accident took place early morning when a passenger bus hit a stopped truck on a highway linking the capital of Cairo to the Country’s South.
“A passenger bus traveling to Cairo from the southern province of Sohag crashed into the back of a truck parking on the side of the road for changing its tyres” Gov Osama AI Qady said.
The parked truck was changing tyres on the roadside when the bus hit it in the city of Malawi in Minya province about 220km (137miles) south of Cairo.
Several ambulances however rushed to the scene to transfer the injured to the hospitals in Minya.
Egypt had been reportedly having several accidents due to bad roads and poor maintenance of roads
Over the years ,the country has been fixing the roads but accidents occurred still due to bad traffic on the highway.
