Eleven people got killed and nine others injured during a collide crash on Saturday in Lusaka, the Zambian capital.According to the police, ten people died on the spot while one died at the hospital. Five out of the nine injured sustained serious injuries.
Rae Hamoonga, the spokesperson for the Zambia Police, said the accident happened when the driver of a public minibus lost control of the vehicle due to speeding and collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.The accident comes barely a week after 21 women died in a road accident in the northern part of the country.
This occurred at around 06:00 hours at the Junction of the University of Zambia along Great East Road.
